Synopsis
Mart left Kõnnu as a young man with a suitcase and no intention of returning. Forty years later, he is back — for a funeral, he tells himself. The house is still there. The road is still unpaved. But the village he carries in his memory refuses to match the one he finds, and the people who stayed have their own version of who he was.

Director's Note
Vaikus started as a question about return — whether you can go back to a place that only ever existed inside you. We shot in a real village over three weeks in autumn, working with the light as it came and leaning into the silence the title promises.
