About the Film

Shot in a single take at the Von Krahl Theatre in Tallinn, Last Curtain follows Elo — a veteran stage actress — through the final nine minutes of what turns out to be her last performance. The camera never cuts. The audience watches from inside the wings.

The Single Take

We rehearsed for eleven days. The take used in the film was the fourth attempt on the final night. The actress knew it was the last chance. So did everyone else. You can feel that in the film — or so we are told.
