How this site handles your data

Short version: no cookies, no tracking, no advertising, no analytics accounts. The site keeps the minimum it needs to stay up and fix errors.

Who is responsible

Fiimu OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia, is the controller of the data described here. For any question or request about it, use the details on thecontact page.

Server logs

Every request is logged to keep the site secure and working: the time, the page address without its query string, the response status and size, the website that linked to the page (its address only, not the full link) and your browser's user-agent string. Your IP address is shortened before it is written, so the last part that identifies a single connection is never stored. Logs are rotated and overwritten automatically; no archive is kept.

Speed measurements and error reports

Your browser sends anonymous page-speed figures (how fast the page loaded and responded) with no address, identifier or cookie. If something on the page breaks, it sends the error message and the page address, with query strings and long numbers removed. Both are used only to find and fix problems.

On your device

The site sets no cookies. It keeps a few settings in your browser's session storage, such as the filters you chose or whether the intro has played; they stay on your device and are cleared when you close the tab. An offline cache stores the site's own files so pages load faster and work without a connection.

YouTube

Some pages show YouTube video thumbnails, which your browser loads from YouTube's image server, so Google receives your IP address for those requests. A YouTube video itself only loads, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, after you press play.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data about you is held, and have it corrected or erased, or object to its use. Because log entries carry no full IP address, they usually cannot be linked back to one person. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
